Spruce Kings Commit to Cristian Achim

The Prince George Spruce Kings are pleased to announce the commitment of 2007 born defenseman Cristian Achim for the 2026-2027 season.

Achim is 6’4, 194 pounds, was born in Bucharest, Romania, but has developed his game mostly within the German hockey system.  Holding dual citizenship, Cristian’s ultimate hockey allegiance lies with Germany.  He spent the last two seasons with EV Landshut U20, scoring 12 goals and adding 35 assists in 74 games, while also skating in eight pro games for the Erding Gladiators.

Spruce Kings General Manager Mike Hawes: “Cristian is an elite level defenseman who can excel in all areas. Through our due diligence process Cristian checked all the boxes that we look for in a Spruce Kings player. We are excited to have him joining our program.”

Cristian Achim: “I chose Prince George because of the incredible player development. It is the perfect next step for my career. My goal is to impact the game both defensively and offensively. This is also a huge opportunity that can help me represent Germany.  I can’t wait to win for Prince George.”
