The Prince George Spruce Kings would like to congratulate defenseman Ozbej Rep on his commitment to Stonehill College for the 2026-2027 season.
Rep committed to the Spruce Kings last season and made an immediate impact. He would score six times and add 46 assists, playing every game. He would add two goals and six assists in 18 playoff games.
The accolades piled up for Rep as well. He was named the BCHL Defenseman of the Year, was a First Team BCHL All-Star, and represented Team Coastal at the BCHL All-Star Game. He would lead the league in points by a defenseman, assists by a defenseman, and tied for second in assists overall.
His 46 assists tied Brad Fast (1998-1999) for second most in a single season by a defenseman in Spruce Kings franchise history, trailing only current Spruce Kings President David Keough (59 in 1999-2000).
Ozbej Rep: “I am proud to announce my commitment to Stonehill. Playing with Prince George and being surrounded by great staff, billets, and teammates provided me the opportunity to grow my game over the last year. I’m super excited to get started and can’t wait for the future at Stonehill.”
Head Coach Brad Tesink: “When Oz made the decision to join us last summer, he had certain goals that he wanted to obtain when coming to Prince George. His commitment to Stonehill College is the final chapter for him this year that included 1st team All Star and Defenseman of the Year awards. We as an organization are thrilled to watch him continued his hockey journey at the D1 level at Stonehill.”
