PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Spruce Kings are excited to announce the addition of 16-year-old forward Jared Langdon (’06) for the 2023-24 BC Hockey League season.

A product of St. John’s, Newfoundland, Langdon comes to Prince George after spending last season with the Wellington Dukes of the Ontario Junior Hockey League. In 53 games, Langdon scored nine goals and 13 assists (22 points). Come playoffs, Langdon helped the Dukes reach the conference championship and tallied five assists in 14 games.

“I am very excited to be given the opportunity to play for the Spruce Kings this upcoming season,” said Langdon. “During my conversations with Coach Evin and other team staff, I was reassured of the commitment to development and creating a winning culture. It was important to me that next year I’d find myself in an environment where I would be challenged and grow as a player and person, and I believe this can be accomplished by playing in Prince George.”

At 16, Langdon has already committed to play for an NCAA D1 program. When his junior career wraps up he will suit up for the Clarkson University Golden Knights. Clarkson is located in Potsdam, New York.

“We’re very excited to add a player of Jared’s character and ability to our roster,” said Spruce Kings general manager Mike Hawes. “He is a young, hard-working player who plays the game with passion. We’re thrilled that Jared chose the Spruce Kings to continue his development in the game and to prepare for college hockey.”

Welcome to Prince George, Jared!
