CHILLIWACK BC – Andrew Seaman is continuing to tear up the Pod season, scoring his 7th and 8th goal of the campaign this evening, en route to a 4-3 Spruce Kings victory on a Monday night at the Chilliwack Coliseum. This win marks the Spruce Kings sixth victory in the pod (6-3-1), and their fifth straight victory against the Centennials.

1st Period:

PG: In the final minute of the opening period, Nick Rheaume shot the puck off the pad of Josh Dias from the right circle and the rebound shot right to the tape of Kolton Cousins who buried his second of the pod season. The Cousins tally came at 19:37, with the helpers being credited to  Rhéaume and Rowan Miller.

MER: Wyatt Marlow got the puck in the offensive zone and weaved into the middle above the left circle and rifled a wrister past Jordan Fairlie to tie the game at the buzzer. Marlow’s first in the pod was unassisted at 19:59.

2nd Period:

PG: At 10:04 on a Spruce Kings power-play, a Tanner Main wrist shot from the middle of the blueline went off the leg area of Nick Rheaume and underneath Dias to give the Spruce Kings a power-play marker and a 2-1 lead. Rheaume’s fourth in the pod was assisted by Main and Rowan Miller.

PG: Just under two minutes later, Christian Buono was able make a fantastic pass to the slot area and found Andrew Seaman who fired home his 7th of the season past a sprawling Josh Dias to give PG a two-goal lead. Seaman’s 7th in the pod was assisted by his two other line mates Buono and John Herrington at 11:54.

PG: At 13:04, it was again Andrew Seaman in front of the goal, slid a wrister through the five-hole of Dias to score his second of the night and team and pod leading 8th goal of the season. Seaman’s second tally of the evening was assisted by defenceman Connor Elliott.

3rd Period:

MER: At 9:26 of the third frame, Matteo Pecchia released a shot from the right circle that was stopped by Fairlie, however, the rebound had eyes and found a way right back to Pecchia’s tape and squeaked it through the five hole of Fairlie to cut the Spruce King lead in half. Pecchia’s third in the pod was unassisted.

MER: Following a Centennial power-play, they were able to maintain possession of the puck and Josh Olson was able to perfectly place a wrister just shy of the right circle top corner past Fairlie to make it a 4-3 game. Olson’s third in the pod was assisted by Carson Preston and Mark Thurston at 15:03 of the third.
