LEADING THE CHARGE

The line of Christian Buono, John Herrington, and Andrew Seaman have been able to produce on a nightly basis. The three forwards have combined for 12 points in their last three games. Herrington has a goal and two assists in his last two games as well, heading into tonight’s contest against Chilliwack.

 

SPECIAL TEAMS

The Spruce Kings power-play was able to click two nights ago as Nick Rhéaume was able to pot home his 4thof the pod season on the man advantage. The Spruce Kings power-play sits at 20.4%, which ranks 9th out of all BCHL teams. Although the Spruce Kings are second in the BCHL in penalties, the penalty kill has been able to pull up their socks, killing 92% of them which has PG ranked 3rd in the entire BC Hockey League.

THE 20 YEAR OLD FROM MANITOBA

20 year old forward Tanner Andrew’s 4 of 6 goals this season have come against the Spruce Kings during this Pod season. Those six goals Andrew has this season, also leads all Chiefs skaters. Andrew hails from Virden Manitoba and is committed to RIT next fall.

 

BUSY WORKLOAD

20-year-old goaltender Mathieu Caron has been busy in between the pipes to say the least. The netminder from Abbotsford has logged 540 minutes of action and sits with a 6-3 record on the Pod season. The Chiefs goaltender is committed to Brown Universit.y
