Kilian Mcgregor-Bennett commits to Skyhawks

PRINCE GEORGE- The Prince George Spruce Kings are thrilled to share that Kilian McGregor-Bennett (’03)
has announced his commitment to play NCAA Division 1 hockey at Stonehill College.

“I am extremely proud and honoured to announce my commitment to further my studies and play
Division 1 hockey at Stonehill College,” said McGregor-Bennett. “I would like to thank my family, friends,
teammates, coaches and the entire Spruce Kings organization for helping me reach my goals and become
a great human in the process. I am excited for the future.”

The newly named Mike Church Most Valuable player of the Spruce Kings, McGregor-Bennett, joined
Prince George at the end of the 2019-2020 season. Since then, the forward from White Rock, BC, has
suited up 167 times for the Spruce Kings.

“Kilian has been with us since the 2019-20 season and has been the consummate Spruce King,” said
Spruce Kings General Manager Mike Hawes. “He wears his heart on his sleeve and is the hardest working
player every game and practice.”

Hawes would continue.

“He’s also a great teammate and person who is very deserving of this commitment.”

Kilian, who is in his final season with the Spruce Kings, has been arguably the best player for Prince
George this season. In 48 games played, McGregor-Bennett has scored 19 goals and recorded 18 assists
for 37 points. McGregor-Bennett is also a part of the leadership group with the Spruce Kings, wearing
one of the four alternate captain patches.

“Kilian has been a first-class Spruce King for the past four seasons. He began as an affiliate player in 2019
and has grown as a player and a person in our organization every year since,” said Head Coach Alex Evin.
“He will leave Prince George as an outstanding teammate, leader, hockey player and person.”

“It is very rewarding to see our players reach their goals of playing college hockey and getting an
opportunity to further their education,” continued Evin. “We are very proud of Kilian and look forward to
tracking his success at Stonehill.”

Stonehill College promoted all its varsity programs to Division 1 in April of 2022. The college is in Easton,
Massachusetts. McGregor-Bennett joins former Spruce King Charlie Banquier (’02) next season with the
Skyhawks.

Please join us in congratulating Kilian McGregor-Bennett on this incredible achievement.
