PRINCE GEORGE- The Prince George Spruce Kings are excited to share that Scott Cousins (’04) has been named the first star of the week in the BCHL!
1st Star – Scott Cousins (F) – Prince George Spruce Kings
Cousins posted three goals and two assists for five points in a pair of games over the weekend.
He started off his team’s back-to-back home set against the Merritt Centennials by scoring two goals in Friday night’s 6-3 loss. Cousins scored once in the opening frame and again in the third, but the Spruce Kings fell short.
The following night, the 2004-born forward netted a goal and a pair of helpers in Prince George’s 4-3 overtime win. With the score tied 0-0 in the second, Cousins registered two assists less than four minutes apart to help give the Spruce Kings a 2-0 lead. With his team down 3-2 in the third, he potted his ninth goal of the season to force overtime and set up the PG win.
Cousins now has 19 points in 46 games this year.
