The Prince George Spruce Kings are excited to announce the commitment of Zachary Hachey (’07) for the 2024/2025 season.
From Saint-Lambert, Quebec, Hachey is a defenceman who will not only bring skill to the back end of Prince George but plenty of size. Hachey will be 17 years old when he arrives in PG, standing at 6’3″ and 201 lbs currently.
The last two seasons of Hachey’s hockey career have been spent with the Collège Charles-Lemoyne Riverains QM18AAA team. In 2022/2023, Zach was named an alternate captain. In 2023/2024, he was named the captain of the squad.
In 41 regular season games this past season, Hachey recorded 19 points, adding three more in six playoff games.
“Zach is a tremendous addition to our group,” said Spruce Kings General Manager, Mike Hawes. “He’s a dynamic young defenseman with good size who does everything well. We got to know him and his family well during the recruiting process, and he checks all the boxes with his character as well.”
