The Prince George Spruce Kings are pleased to announce the signed commitment of Maks Percic (04) for the 2024/2025 season.
Percic is a 6’2, 202-pound defenseman from Maribor, Slovenia, who spent this past season in the BCHL with Vernon and Merritt. In 44 BCHL games, Percic had two goals and added 12 assists for 14 points. He also had a goal and an assist in 6 playoff games for Merritt.
Percic represented Slovenia at the 2023 World U20 Division 1B Championship, putting up 5 assists in 5 games in the Slovenia tournament win.
With the Merritt Centennials leaving the BCHL upon their playoff exit, all players became free agents, with the Spruce Kings adding Percic as soon as possible. Percic is committed to Michigan Tech University for the 2025-2026 school year.
Spruce Kings General Manager Mike Hawes: “Maks is a player that plays the game hard and plays it the right way. With a year of BCHL experience under his belt, he will be a huge piece on the backend for us next season.”
