PRINCE GEORGE BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings are thrilled to announce the signing of forward and Holy Cross commit Dom Murphy (03) for the 2022-23 season. Murphy, from Worcester MA, spent the 2021-22 season with St. Marks School of the United States High School Prep League (USHS-Prep), finishing with an impressive 53 points in just 28 games played.

Not only was Murphy well over a point per game in his second year at St. Marks, but the year prior he also had a terrific season, which included 16 goals and 16 helpers, good for 32 points in just 29 games. He is known to being a point producer, but assistant General Manager and Director of Player Personnel Craig Carter says there is a lot more to his game than just his scoring.

Dom is another exciting add to next season’s forward core. He is sure to be a fan favourite with his hard-working two-way style of play. Dom possesses a strong offensive skill set. Combined with this exceptional skating ability and hockey sense. Speaking with him and his family, it was very clear he was a person and player who will fit in seamlessly in PG”. – Carter on Dom Murphy

The 5’11, 170 pound forward says his build, his offensive ability, and awareness are some of his biggest assets to his game.

I would say my style of play is a strong forward who likes to pass the puck” – Murphy on his playing style.

The Spruce Kings are excited to welcome Dom and his family to the organization and to the city of Prince George!
