Spruce Kings Set to DROP THE GLOVES

The Prince George Spruce Kings are pleased to announce their annual DROP THE GLOVES AND SOCK IT TO EM game to take place December 14th, 2018 against the Surrey Eagles.

Fans are encouraged to bring warm winter clothing including toques, scarves, gloves, or socks in bags and toss them on the ice when the Spruce Kings score their first goal. All donations will be given to St. Vincent de Paul, who will also attend the game.

“This is one date we’ve had circled on our schedule for a while,” said Spruce Kings Senior Marketing Manager Kyle Anderson, “it’s always a well-attended game and we really see the generosity of our fans come out during that game.”

The game night sponsor will be Save-on-Foods, and the Spruce Kings will also be collecting non-perishable food items that night as well for the Christmas food drive.

“Being a community-owned team in a downtown arena really brings this promotion even closer to home,” added Anderson, “our goal here is to have a sell-out crowd and the largest number of donations to St. Vincent de Paul than we ever have had before.”

Tickets are now on sale for the December 14th game in the Spruce Kings office Monday – Friday 12 pm to 4 pm or by phone at 250-564-1747. Tickets for this game will be available online later.

It is also a Friends and Family Night, as groups of 4 (any age combination) will get 4 tickets, 4 Wendy’s Burger coupons, and 4 Spruce Kings Hats for ONLY $44.00 (while supplies last).
