Spruce Kings Drop 3rd Straight Game, Falling 2-1 In Vernon

VERNON BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings got an early tally from John Herrington, however, that was all Prince George could muster offensively, as they dropped a 2-1 decision to the Vernon Vipers.

1st PERIOD:

 PG: Just over seven and a half minutes into the game, Colton Cameron was able to find John Herrington just above the left circle and the ringette line, and Herrington wired a shot by Ethan David to give the Spruce Kings an early lead. Herrington’s team leading 14th of the year was assisted by both Cameron and Kolton Cousins at 7:32.

 VER: On an extended Vipers power-play, Max Borovinskiy got the puck at the left circle and wristed one by Aaron Trotter to knot the game up at one. Borovinskiy’s first BCHL goal came on the power-play at 13:58.

VER: Just over halfway through the third frame, Ryan Shostak sped down the left wing into the Spruce King zone, Shostak then centered the puck in tight and went off the foot of Dylan Schives and into the net to give the Vipers the lead. Shostak’s ninth of the campaign was at 10:13 of the third period.
