Spruce Kings Commit to Lougheed

The Prince George Spruce Kings are pleased to announce the commitment of 2005 born forward Marcus Lougheed for the 2025-2026 season.

Lougheed is 5’10, 180 pounds from Collingwood, Ontario who has spent the last four seasons with his hometown Collingwood Blues of the Ontario Junior Hockey League. Last season, Marcus scored 26 goals and added 36 assists for 62 points in 55 games.

While with the Blues, Lougheed won the OJHL Championship twice, and the Centennial Cup National Championship once, and was the team captain in 2024-2025. Overall his junior career has spanned 184 Regular Season and 56 OJHL playoff/National Championship games where he has put up an impressive 82 goals and 100 assists.

Lougheed is committed to Lake Superior State University for 2026-2027.

He’s not only a very good player but a person of high character with great leadership abilities. He’s also been on Championship teams and adding that intangible to the group is immeasurable. He will play a huge role on this season’s team. We’re thrilled to work with Marcus on his development and preparation for NCAA hockey.”

Marcus Lougheed: “I am super excited and honoured for the opportunity to play in Prince George. I have heard really good things about the organization and am excited to learn from the great staff and further my game. The professionalism and detail they show was a huge factor in my decision and I’m really excited to get the season going.
