The Prince George Spruce Kings have acquired the BCHL playing rights to defenseman Brendan Gillmore (05) from the Blackfalds Bulldogs in exchange for future considerations.
Gillmore is a 5’11, 170-pound defender from North York, Ontario who played 41 games last season for the Bulldogs between the AJHL and their BCHL campaign. He had three goals and three assists.
This season, Gillmore has played in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) for the Northeast Generals, and most recently, the Fairbanks Ice Dogs. In 29 NAHL games, he has scored five times and added 13 assists for 18 points.
“Brendan is a nice addition for us.” said Spruce Kings General Manager Mike Hawes, “He is a smart player with a very good skill set who will add an offensive component to our back end. We’re looking forward to getting him into our lineup.”
Gillmore is expected to be in town in time to make the 3-game island road trip which starts next Wednesday in Nanaimo.
