PREVIEW: Prince George Spruce Kings @ Salmon Arm Silverbacks (Game #18)

Tonight, at the Shaw Centre in Salmon Arm, the Prince George Spruce Kings do battle with the Silverbacks at 6 PM for the first time since January of 2020. The Spruce Kings are coming off a 5-1 defeat against the Penticton Vees on Wednesday night at the RMCA. Nathan Fox had the lone tally for the Spruce Kings.

LAYLIN MAKES HIS BCHL DEBUT

 Recently acquired forward Luc Laylin will suit up for the Spruce Kings this evening in Salmon Arm. Laylin, 20, was acquired earlier this week from Lincoln of the United States Hockey League (USHL). The St. Michael Minnesota product had 4 points in 14 games with the club. The year prior, Laylin was a member of the Minnesota Magicians of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), and finished with 22 tallies and 16 helpers in 48 games. Laylin is committed to play NCAA Division 1 Hockey at the University of St. Thomas.

THE LEAGUE LEADER

 The Silverbacks possess the top scorer in the entire BCHL in Simoon Tassy. The 20-year-old out of Montreal, QC has already amassed 19 goals and 15 assists in just 20 games thus far. The Minnesota State Mankato commit is in his third BCHL season and has also been named to the BCHL All Star Game.
