LeFranc’s Three Points Propels Spruce Kings To 4-1 Victory Over Wenatchee At The BCHL Showcase

CHILLIWACK BC – Ben LeFranc’s three points, along with tallies from Kolton Cousins and Dylan Schives was enough to propel the Prince George Spruce Kings to their third victory in a row, defeating the Wenatchee Wild 4-1 at the BCHL Showcase.

2nd PERIOD:

 PG: Ben LeFranc played a little give and go with forward Nathan Fox and the Spruce King forward played it ahead to LeFranc who kicked the puck to his stick and made a great move around Tyler Shea to give the Spruce Kings the lead. LeFranc’s second of the season had the lone helper credited to Fox at 10:47

3rd PERIOD:

 PG: 6:56 into the period, Kolton Cousins wrapped the puck around the goal and threw the puck to the net from the bottom of the right circle and it somehow found a way through the wickets of Shea to give Prince George a 2-0 lead. Cousins’ third of the season was assisted by John Herrington.

PG: Not even two minutes later, the puck came to Ben LeFranc at the left circle, and he wired a wrister top shelf to score second of the day and third of the year. LeFranc’s goal was assisted by both John Herrington and Kolton Cousins at 8:39.

PG: At 10:19, it was 20-year-old defenceman Dylan Schives who walked into the high slot and ripped a wrist shot top shelf passed Shea to make it 4-0 Prince George. Schives’ first as a Spruce King was assisted by Evan Fedele.

WEN: After two great stops by Aaron Trotter, the puck came to Cade Stibbe who put home a rebound opportunity at the left side of the goal. Stibbe’s first of the season came at 12:01.
