 The Game

 

The Prince George Spruce Kings take on the Merritt Centennials at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena for their 3rd matchup of the pre-season, and the second part of a home and home weekend.

The Spruce Kings defeated the Centennials Friday night by a 6-2 score at the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena. Rowan Miller, Andrew Seaman, Mason Waite, John Herrington, Tanner Main, and Christian Buono had the Spruce King goals, while Jordan Fairlie was victorious in the pipes, making 25 saves.

Merritt got goals from both Trevor Isaksson and Jacksenn Hungle on Friday night. Centennials goaltender Josh Dias took the loss in net making 29 saves.

 

Players to watch

 

Spruce Kings forward and 20-year-old Andrew Seaman had a heck of a Friday night, finishing with three points in the victory heading into the Sunday matinee on home ice

 

Centennials defenceman Liam Visrsam was one of the bright spots for the Centennials on Friday night. The former Nanaimo Clipper had a helper in the 6-2 defeat against Prince George.

 “It has been great getting back into game action. It has felt like forever, and obviously there is going to be some rust to get rid of for all of us, but it’s really good that we have 8 pre-season games before the season starts. I am sure we will be flyin’ by the time the regular season gets going” – Spruce Kings forward Andrew Seaman
