 The Game

 

The Prince George Spruce Kings take on the Merritt Centennials at the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena for their second pre-season game on the 8 game schedule.

 The Spruce Kings defeated the Centennials 14 days ago by a 4-1 score. Rowan Miller, Max Borovinskiy, Corey Cunningham, and Nick Rhéaume had the Spruce King tallies, while Aaron Trotter got the win in goal making 27 saves. Hunor Torzsok also had a good night with two helpers and 2nd star honours.

 The Centennials lone goal came off the stick of Jerzy Orchard in the third period. Centennials goaltender Josh Dias took the loss in net making 28 saves.

 

Players to watch

 

Spruce Kings defenceman and 20-year-old Mason Waite suits up in his first pre-season game tonight. Waite led all Spruce Kings defenceman in goals in 2019-20 with seven.

 

Centennials forward Brandon Dent had some notable scoring chances two weeks ago vs Prince George. The Prince George product spent time with both the West Kelowna Warriors and Nanaimo Clippers last season
