GAME PREVIEW: Prince George Spruce Kings vs. Salmon Arm Silverbacks (Game #47)

Tonight, at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena, the Prince George Spruce Kings wrap up the home-stand and the double header against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks at 7:00 PM. The Spruce Kings are coming off a 4-3 edging to the Silverbacks, despite registering 40 shots in the contest and 15 in the final frame. Nick Rhéaume, John Herrington, and Ty Gagno scored for Prince George, while Aaron Trotter made 20 saves in the setback.

A CHANCE TO MAKE HISTORY

 Third year Silverback Simon Tassy has a chance to become the Silverbacks all-time leading goal scorer heading into tonight. The Minnesota-State Mankato commit has posted 36 goals this season, including a goal last night in the victory to tie former Silverback Mark Zengerle at 64 goals. Zengerle was a member of the Silverbacks for two seasons (2008-2010).

It has been an impressive return to the lineup for Spruce Kings 20-year-old Josh Wright. Since returning to the lineup on Wednesday against West Kelowna, the Woodstock, ON product has already recorded three points in two games, which included a pair of helpers in the setback last night. Wright now has two goals and six assists in his final season of junior hockey.
