PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Spruce Kings have acquired forward Owen Goodbrand (’04) from the Cowichan Valley Capitals in exchange for Luke Eurig and future considerations.
Goodbrand has dressed in 30 games with the Capitals this season, tallying four goals and eight assists (12 points).
“Adding Owen up front will give us another important piece. He had size and skill and plays the game hard,” said Spruce Kings general manager Mike Hawes. “We’re excited to get him into our lineup.”
Goodbrand will add some size to the Spruce Kings forward group, standing at six-foot-two and 181-pounds.
Last season, the product of Waterdown, Ontario, spent the season with the Niagara Falls Canucks of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League. He played in 37 games with the Canucks, scoring 17 goals and 12 assists (29 points). He finished fourth on the team in scoring.
