The Prince George Spruce Kings are excited to announce the hiring of Karina Lahti as the teams new Athletic Trainer.
Lahti joins the Spruce Kings after completing her Master of Science in Athletic Training at Whitworth University in Spokane. During her studies, she had the opportunity work with Whitworth University Softball, Colorado University Football, and the Spokane Chiefs.
Karina Lahti: “I am honoured to join the Prince George Spruce Kings staff! It’s an exciting move in my career to be working with an organization of this caliber. I am thankful for this opportunity and thrilled to partner with the team and community. I look forward to getting started.”
Mike Hawes “We’re excited to hire Karina as our new Athletic Trainer. We were very impressed with her as we went through the interview and hiring process. She is going to be a tremendous addition to the Spruce Kings family.”
The Spruce Kings would like to welcome Karina to the organization and the city of Prince George.

Karina Lahti will replace Mitchell Karapita, who has joined the Prince George Cougars.
Hawes: “When I hired Mitch prior to last season it was with the understanding that we would support his advancement the same way we do with our players and all staff members. The opportunity for advancement came sooner than we anticipated, but we couldn’t be happier for him and are thrilled that we could play a role in his professional development.”
