Spruce Kings fall to Express

It was a bumpy road trip for the Prince George Spruce Kings despite wrapping up their first Mainland Division title.

The visitors fell <a href=”http://bchl.ca/stats/game-summary/8311″ target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”><strong>3-1</strong></a> to the lowly Coquitlam Express, a mere 24 hours after falling 5-3 to the Surrey Eagles.

Coquitlam carried a 2-0 advantage after two periods thanks to a pair of goals from Haydn Delorme and Josh Wildauer.

The Spruce Kings cut the deficit in half courtesy of <a href=”http://bchl.ca/stats/player/4008/32/kyle-johnson” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>Kyle Johnson</a> who slipped one past Express goaltender Brock Hamm.

Christian Sanda iced the contest for Coquitlam later in the period with an empty-netter after Prince George goaltender Bradley Cooper was summoned to the bench.

The Spruce Kings conclude the regular season with three more roads games; Friday and Saturday against the
Chilliwack Chiefs and Sunday (the 25th) vs. the Langley Rivermen.
