The Prince George Spruce Kings are happy to announce that forward Lucas Vanroboys has committed to Bentley University for the 2019-2020 season.
Vanroboys, from Thamesville, Ontario, was acquired at the trade deadline from the Cowichan Valley Capitals. He would tally 3 goals and 5 assists in 15 regular season games, before adding 4 goals and 5 assists in 17 BCHL Playoff games, and 1 goal, 1 assist in the Doyle Cup.
Lucas would also have 1 assist in the National Junior A Championship.
Vanroboys becomes the 10th Spruce King from this years team to move to NCAA Division I next season.
