Spruce Kings Fall 2-1 in Overtime at LNG Canada Road Show

KITIMAT, BC – Carter Woodside put together yet another remarkable performance making 45 saves, but Hunter McCoy of the Langley Rivermen netted home the overtime winner as the Prince George Spruce Kings fell to Langley 2-1 in overtime at the LNG Canada Road Show in Kitimat

 

 

1st Period:

PG: At 9:13 of the period, Carter Cochrane received a pass from Nick Bochen, and Cochrane ripped the puck top corner on Braedon Fleming to give the Spruce Kings the lead. Bochen and Andrew Seaman had the assists on Cochrane’s 4th of the season

LAN: At 8:08 of the third period, Sean Bunting got the pick just shy of the high slot and shot it through the legs of Carter Woodside to tie the game at one .Matthew Hubbarde and Jake Livingstone had the helpers on Bunting’s 4th of the year.

Overtime:

LAN: 2:03 into the extra frame after several chances on both sides, it was Hunter McCoy who picked the top corner on Woodside to score the overtime winner and give the Rivermen the extra point. Jake Livingstone had the lone helper on McCoy’s 13th of the season.
