Spruce Kings New Voice is Ready

The Prince George Spruce Kings are excited to announce the hiring of Ethan Ready as the organizations Director of Communications and Broadcasting.

Ready is originally from Woodstock, Ontario and attended school in Hamilton, Ontario, where he is a graduate of the Journalism program at Mohawk College. While in Hamilton, Ready worked with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League and began freelancing with the league shortly after graduating.

In Feb. 2019, Ready moved to Prince George to start his career as a news reporter, spending time with Vista Radio before joining CKPG News in Nov. 2019. Since then, he has worked as a news reporter and, most recently, the station’s sports anchor. He is currently the play-by-play voice of the Prince George Kodiaks.

Kyle Anderson – Business Operations Manager, Spruce Kings: “We are thrilled to have Ethan join the Spruce Kings organization. I know that he brings a unique skillset with his experiences and can’t wait to see the stories that will be told of the Spruce Kings season and beyond. Ethan has great drive and ambition to succeed in this role, and our organization will be better for it.”

Ethan Ready: “I am grateful for this opportunity to work for a sports organization that has a rich history and deep roots within the community. Through my experiences covering the Spruce Kings, I have seen how much this team values its connection to the City of Prince George and its fans. I am excited to engage with the fans and bring them closer to the Spruce Kings than ever before.”
