GAME PREVIEW: Prince George Spruce Kings @ Wenatchee Wild (Game #24)

Tonight, at the Town Toyota Centre in Wenatchee, the Prince George Spruce Kings begin their post-holiday break schedule against the Wenatchee Wild at 6:00 PM. The Spruce Kings last game took place back on December 18th where they dropped a 2-1 decision against the Vernon Vipers. John Herrington had the lone goal for the Spruce Kings in the setback.

KAPTAIN KOLTON

 Spruce Kings captain Kolton Cousins has been one of top producers offensively for Prince George in the last four games. The 20 year old from Sechelt BC has registered five points in his last four, including three goals. During the season, Cousins has already passed his previous season totals from the 2019-20 Pod season (11 pts in 20 games), the 2019-20 season (9 pts in 58 games), and the 2018-19 season (11 pts in 55 games). The captain has amassed 16 points in 23 games so far in 20-21.

SPRUCE KINGS NOTES:

 -Ben LeFranc and John Herrington leads all Spruce Kings with two points each against Wenatchee (LeFranc 2G – Herrington 2A).

-In one game against the Wild, Aaron Trotter has the lone win, making 22 saves on 23 shots back on October 20 at the BCHL Showcase in Chilliwack

-The Spruce Kings will be without forwards Nick Rhéaume and Austin Fraser tonight due to suspension

WENATCHEE BLOODLINES

 The Wild enter tonight’s contest, winners of five straight games before heading into the break and Cade Littler has been a big part of the success. During the five-game winning streak, the 2004 born from Wenatchee has points in all five games, which includes five goals and six assists. In 19 games this season, Littler has 23 points, including 10 tallies and 13 helpers. Littler is also the son of Wild General Manager, Bliss Littler.
