GAME PREVIEW: Prince George Spruce Kings vs. Salmon Arm Silverbacks (Game #54)

Tonight, at the RMCA, the Prince George Spruce Kings hit the ice for the final time in the regular season as they take on the Salmon Silverbacks in Game #54. The Spruce Kings are coming off a 6-5 overtime defeat last night against the Silverbacks. Rowan Miller, Nick Rhéaume, Nathan Fox, John Herrington, and Luc Laylin all scored for the Spruce Kings in the setback. Tonight, is Community Night at the RMCA. There will be different giveaways and draws throughout the night, and there will also be another Chuck-A-Puck in the second intermission, and if anyone is able to land the puck at the centre ice dot, they will win $1250.

-Aaron Trotter suits up for his 48th game as a Prince George Spruce King. In 47 starts with the Spruce Kings, the University Of St. Thomas commit sports a 26-14-5 record, a 2.12 goals against average, and a .913 save percentage.

-Josh Wright has registered 10 points in 38 games with the Spruce Kings this season. Tonight, marks Wright’s 44th game in the blue, red, and white.

-Dylan Schives leads all Spruce King defenders in points in 2021-22. The 20 year from Tilbury has registered 27 points in 51 games with the Spruce Kings. Combined with his junior career in Ontario and Quebec, along with his BCHL career, this marks Schives’ 220th junior hockey game.

-Luc Laylin has been no short of incredible since joining the Spruce Kings on Dec 1. The University of St. Thomas commit has scored 13 time and has also collected 19 helpers in just 36 games as a Spruce King.

-Rowan Miller has delivered all season long for the Spruce Kings. The 20-year-old, and University of Alaska-Anchorage commit has recorded 41 points in 52 games as a Spruce King, which includes 22 goals and 19 helpers. Tonight’s game will mark Miller’s 172nd regular season game in the BCHL.

-The captain Kolton Cousins has been the heart and soul of the Spruce Kings roster ever since he has donned Spruce Kings colours. His 20-year-old season has been a career year for Cousins, who has scored 15 goals and has collected 13 assists, good for 28 points in 52 games. In his BCHL career including regular season and playoffs, this game will mark the captain’s 205th game in the BCHL.
