The Prince George Spruce Kings are excited to announce that 1996 born forward Chong Hyun Lee has been invited to play for Team Korea at the Euro Ice Hockey Challenge (EIHC) in Korea. The other teams participating in the tournament are Denmark, Hungary, and Japan.

Games begin on February 9th, and will conclude on the 11th. Team Korea plays Denmark on the 9th, Hungary on the 10th, and conclude with on Japan on the 11th.  In the last EIHC, Lee was a point per game player putting up one goal and two assists over in Poland. Korea was 0-1-2 in that tournament right before the Christmas break.

This season with the Spruce Kings, Lee leads the team in rookie scoring with 15 goals and 21 assists for 36 points in 45 games. Lee has been one of the most consistent Spruce Kings of late with 15 points in the last 13 games.

Lee missed the final two games of the Spruce Kings last road trip, and will not be in service for this week in the team’s final home season game against the West Kelowna Warriors on Thursday February 9th. To thank the volunteers in our city, all fans wearing their green Canada Winter Games volunteer jackets will get into the game for free.
