Spruce Kings Statement – September 1, 2021

PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings, in conjunction with yesterday’s BC Hockey League announcement, are in full support of the proof of vaccination mandate announced by the Provincial Government and Provincial Health Office last week.

Effective September 13th, 2021, all spectators, team staff, and volunteers (including off-ice officials) will be required to show proof of Full Vaccination for all Spruce Kings events at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena. The requirement applies to all people born in 2009 or earlier (12+). This extends to any players or team staff that are also required to enter a BCHL building at any given time.

The Spruce Kings are committed to upholding these regulations in the interest of the health and safety of our players, staff, and fans. We have received positive feedback from Season Ticket Members since the PHO announcement, and are proud to be a leader in safety this season. By requiring all that enter through the doors of the RMCA to be fully vaccinated, it allows the organization to develop protocols and procedures that should not change while the mandate is in place. Further information regarding these protocols will be unveiled prior to the Spruce Kings exhibition game on October 3rd.

As well, masks are mandatory within the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena by mandate of the Provincial Health Officer and supported by the City of Prince George. Masks may be removed temporarily in indoor public places to consume food or beverage.

Season Tickets remain on sale with returning Season Ticket Members having their seats reserved until September 20th at 5 pm. Any tickets purchased to date are eligible for refund until September 20th. To purchase, please contact Kyle Anderson at 250-564-1747 or by e-mail tickets@sprucekings.bc.ca
