  1. US

The Spruce Kings enter the second game of the five-game home-stand against the Chilliwack Chiefs. Prince George is coming off a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Powell River Kings. Nick Bochen had the lone tally for the Spruce Kings while Jett Alexander made 27 saves in the defeat. With that loss, the Spruce Kings are tied for the most one goal losses in the BCHL with 10. Forward Domenic Garozzo made his Spruce Kings debut where had a pair of notable chances to score in the opening frame, and also got some power-play time as well.

THEM

The Chiefs are coming off a 3-2 shootout loss against the league leading Coquitlam Express. Cooper Moore and Tommy Lyons had the goals for the Chiefs while goaltender Mathieu Caron was fairly busy making 32 saves in the shootout defeat. The Chiefs are without point leading forward Ethan Bowen as he has been disclosed with an upper body injury. Defenceman Xavier Henry has been named to Team Canada West at the World Jr A Challenge, therefore, he will be out of the lineup as well for Chilliwack. Chiefs Head Coach Brian Maloney is the Video Coach for Team Canada West, therefore, he will not be behind the bench for Chilliwack tonight.

  1. US VS THEM

This is the fifth of eight meetings between Prince George and Chilliwack. Chilliwack defeated the Spruce Kings in their last matchup by a 4-1 score at the Chilliwack Coliseum. Ryan McAllister had the lone goal for the Spruce Kings in the defeat.

  1. THIS AND THAT

THIS: These two teams will meet again tomorrow night at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena. That one is slated for a 7:00 puck drop. THAT: Nick Poisson has been named to Team Canada West at the World Jr A Challenge in Dawson Creek. Poisson and Team Canada West begin their tournament on December 7th against the United States.

  1. PLAYERS TO WATCH

SPRUCE KINGS – (F) PRESTON BRODZIAK

Brodziak has been left off the scoresheet the last couple of games for the Spruce Kings. If there is anyone who knows how to have a bounce back performance, its #25 for the Spruce Kings. Brodziak looks to have a big night tonight against their Division Rivals at the RMCA.

CHIEFS – (F) NIKITA NESTERENKO

The Chilliwack Forward had a multi-point night the last time these two clubs met back in Chilliwack. The Chief forward also is tied for the team lead in goals with 9 this year.
