Team Trainer Announced

Spruce Kings have hired their new team trainer for the 2014-15 season

PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) are pleased to announce the hiring of Pam Solmonson as the team’s Trainer. Pam brings a wealth of experience and replaces Cam Smith who has moved back to the lower mainland for family reasons.

Pam was born and raised in Prince George and had most recently been working in Kelowna for the Pursuit of Excellence Hockey Academy as a medical trainer. She graduated with a Human Kinetics Diploma from College of New Caledonia in Prince George.

Over the past several years Pam has worked in a wide range of sports including hockey, baseball, football and soccer. Pam also has experience as a trainer with BC Hockey and their U16 program.

“In my discussions with Pam, I know that she is excited to move back to Prince George to be closer to family and friends,” said Spruce Kings General Manager, Mike Hawes. “She is equally excited to be joining the Spruce Kings family.”

“Pam is very qualified and will be a tremendous fit for our program,” added Hawes. “She has a lot of experience and will be able to transition well back to Prince George and assist our players in being the best they can be.”

Pam expects to be back in Prince George by mid-August to start preparing for the teams main training camp which will start on Friday August 29th.
