SPRUCE KINGS VS EAGLES GAME PREVIEW

The Spruce Kings come into the weekend finale against the Surrey Eagles looking for a split on home ice. The Eagles defeated the Spruce Kings 4-2 on home opening night. Fin Wiliiams was the big bright spot for the Spruce Kings scoring two goals on the power play, which ended up being all of Prince George’s offense for the night.

Looking across the ice, the Eagles played a very good road game, scoring 3 answered goals, which ended up being enough in the end. Hudson Schandor, Cade Alami, and Holden Katzalay led the way for Surrey from the get go, while also getting a good performance from goaltender Thomas Scarfone who notched his first career BCHL win, making 31 saves.

The 1230 fans in attendance for the home opener last night, was the most in recent memory for home openers for the Spruce Kings.

Puck drop tonight is scheduled for 7:00 at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena. Tickets are available in the Spruce Kings office (open until 4:00), or you can get tickets on our website at the link above.

You can catch all of the action on Hockey TV or on our audio feed on Mixlr.

After tonight’s game, the Spruce Kings opening home stand continues as they host the Victoria Grizzlies next Friday night, followed by the Penticton Vees a week from tonight.
