Spruce Kings use three-goal third to beat Coquitlam

It may not have been the prettiest win of all time but the Prince George Spruce Kings kept marching on during Friday’s game against the Coquitlam Express.

After falling behind 2-0 early in the second,  the home team stormed back to score five out of the final six goals to slip past the Express 5-3 at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.

Dylan Anhorn got things going on the power-play finishing a three-way scoring play with Liam Watson-Brawn and Patrick Cozzi made it 2-1.

Corey Cunningham put the Spruce Kings on even terms heading into the intermission tucking home a feed from fellow Prince George product Craig MacDonald tying the game at two after 40 minutes.

In the third Ben Brar and Cozzi took over the game scoring the Spruce Kings final three goals, with Brar getting two of them.

Logan Neaton picked up the win in goal making 21 saves as Prince George improves to 3-0-0.

Both teams play again on Saturday at 7 PM from the RMCA.
