Spruce Kings Make Two Moves

The Prince George Spruce Kings have made a pair of moves today, acquiring defenseman Sol Seibel (99) from the Salmon Arm Silverbacks in exchange for future considerations, and moving Sean Donaldson (01) to the Nanaimo Clippers in exchange for future considerations.

Donaldson played 50 games last season between Trail and Prince George, and an additional 28 games through the BCHL playoffs, Doyle Cup, and National Junior A Championship. He had 5 goals and 8 assists.

Spruce Kings GM Mike Hawes: “Sean is a good kid and a good player who just wasn’t able to reach his full potential with us because our team last season was deep and he didn’t get enough of an opportunity. He will get that opportunity in Nanaimo and I wish him nothing but success with his new team”

In Seibel, the Spruce Kings are getting a defenseman with 135 games of BCHL experience, and last years Silverbacks Captain. The 20 year old has spent time with Vernon and Salmon Arm in his BCHL career, scoring 2 goals and adding 31 assists.

Spruce Kings GM Mike Hawes: “Sol is a veteran BCHL Dman who plays the game the right way. He’s a good person and teammate whose leadership abilities will be a great fit with our team”
