Spruce Kings Hire Mitchell Karapita As New Trainer

PRINCE GEORGE BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings are excited to announce that they have hired Mitchell Karapita as the team’s new trainer.

I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with a staff, roster, and community of this calibre. I know how much the Spruce Kings mean to Prince George and I’m looking forward to begin my career when the team hits the ice this fall” – Karapita

“We’re excited to bring Mitchell on board. He’s an energetic guy who was very impressive through the hiring process. He will fit in well with our young progressive staff and will be a tremendous addition to our group.” – GM Mike Hawes

Karapita, from Yorkton Saskatchewan, is a recent graduate of the Bachelor of Health and Physical Education in Athletic Therapy program at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta.

“Mitchell replaces Joel Walkey who did a great job for us during a very difficult past season. Joel has decided to change his athletic therapy focus to more of a clinical setting. We’d like to thank Joel for his great work last season.” – Hawes

The Spruce Kings would like to welcome Mitch to the organization and the city of Prince George!
