Spruce Kings force game seven with stellar road effort

The Prince George Spruce Kings came out like there was no tomorrow against the Surrey Eagles.

A three-goal second period from Ben Brar, Ethan de Jong and Dustin Manz paced the visitors to a dominating 3-1 over the Surrey Eagles on Saturday to even up the best-of-seven 3-3.

Evan DeBrouwer was named the game’s first star making 37 saves for Prince George.

Surrey got its lone goal from Matthew Campese late in the second period.

Prince George survived a five-minute major penalty to Liam Watson-Brawn who knocked out Eagles forward Desi Burgart out of the with a questionable hit.

His status for game seven Sunday night at 7 PM from the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena is up in the air .

The winner of the series will face off against the Powell River Kings next Friday.

Tickets go on sale at the Spruce Kings office Sunday morning at 9 AM.
