Spruce Kings Drop 3-1 Decision To Coquitlam

PRINCE GEORGE BC – Special teams told the tale this evening, as the Coquitlam Express score twice on the man advantage, giving them a 3-1 victory over the Prince George Spruce Kings at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.

1st PERIOD:

 PG: On a Spruce King power-play, Rowan Miller got a rebound at the left side of the goal off a John Herrington shot, and Miller shovelled it by Connor Mackenzie to make it 1-0 Prince George. Miller’s 10th of the season was assisted by both Herrington and Schives at 13:16.

2nd PERIOD:

 COQ: On a 5 on 4 power-play, Matthew Campbell got a feed at the right circle from Jayden Sison and Campbell wired it by Jordan Fairlie to tie it at one. Campbell’s third of the season was assisted by both Sison and Ray Hamlin at 15:46.

COQ: On a 5 on 3 power-play, Ryan Tattle used his patience in the high slot and ripped it top corner by Fairlie to give the Express the lead. Tattle’s third of the year had the lone assist credited to Campbell at 18:50.

COQ:J Jayden Sison chipped the puck off the wall to Arlo Merritt and he fired the puck into the empty net to solidify a 3-1 victory for the Express. Merritt’s team leading 8th of the year was assisted to Sison at 19:47.
