Spruce Kings Drop 2nd Game Of Pre-Season 6-2 in Cranbrook

CRANBROOK BC – The Spruce Kings were able to battle back being down by two goals, getting markers from Christian Buono and Mason Waite, but it was the Cranbrook Bucks who prevailed, scoring four unanswered goals, leading to a 6-2 victory over the Spruce Kings.

 

 

1st Period:

 

CRA: Briggs Gammill got the puck at the left circle and fired it over glove of Jordan Fairlie to give the Bucks the lead. Noah Leibl and Nathan Fox had the helpers on Gammill’s 4th of the pre-season at 3:35

 

CRA: Michael Hagen got a feed at the left side and ripped it on the glove side of Fairlie to make it 2-0. Hagen’s 4th of the pre-season came from Dane Dowiak and Nathan Fox at 6:21.

 

PG: At 17:10 of the period, Christain Buono was able to pot home his second of the pre-season on a mad scramble in front to put PG within one. Connor Bowie had the lone helper on Buono’s tally.

2nd Period:

 

PG: On the man advantage, Mason Waite was able to rip a wrist shot top corner over goaltender Jacob Zacharweicz to tie the game up at two. Waite’s second of the pre-season came from Connor Bowie and Christian Buono at 6:07.

 

CRA: Noah Quinn potted home his second of the pre-season on a two on one to make it 3-2. Dane Dowiak and Michael Hagen had the two helpers at 7:50 of the second.

 

CRA: Dane Dowiak was able to rip one past Jordan Fairlie for his 6th of the pre-season. Dowiaks marker comes from Hagen and Cole Assailly at 11:31. That Dowiak marker ended Fairlie’s night, as Aaron Trotter came in to replace the Spruce Kings goaltender.

 

CRA: It was again Dowiak who scored his second of the night on the power-play at 12:11 of the period. Dowiak’s 7th of the pre-season comes from Noah Quinn.

3rd Period:

 

CRA: It was once again, Dane Dowiak who netted home his natural hat trick goal as he took a wrist shot at the left circle that snuck by Aaron Trotter to make it 6-2. Michael Hagen had the lone helper at 1:07 of the period.
