Season-end awards wrapped up with Herrington earning Top Scorer

PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Spruce Kings wrapped up their season-end awards following the conclusion of the 2022-23 BCHL Regular Season.

With his performance over the course of the season, Hudson’s Hope John Herrington earned himself the Top Scorer Award. Through 54 games, the 20-year-old forward tallied 24 goals and 24 assists for a combined 48 points.

Kilian McGregor-Bennett won the team’s Plus/Minus Leader Award after finishing the year with a plus/minus of +15 for the season.

Defenceman Charlie Banquier wins the Most Inspirational Award winner.

The other annual award winners were handed out during the Spruce Kings season-end banquet held last Wednesday.

X-Conditioning Fitness Award – Jordan Fairlie & Brayden Skogstad

7th Player of the Year – Ty Gagno

Bobby Huard Road Warrior Award – Kilian McGregor-Bennett

Fan Favourite Award – Colton Cameron

Top Defenceman Award – Ben LeFranc

Rookie of the Year Award – Luca Primerano

Most Valuable Player – John Herrington
