Rheaume And Labelle Cue Spruce Kings Come From Behind Game 5 Victory, Lead Series 3-2

PRINCE GEORGE BC – Nick Rheaume tied it late, and Simon Labelle scored the go ahead goal in the final minutes to give the Prince George Spruce Kings a massive victory to snatch Game 5 by a 3-2 score in front of a ruckus Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.

2nd PERIOD:

 PG: Just over a minute into the second period, Kolton Cousins spotted Luc Laylin in transition and he made a terrific move on a breakaway and put it by Nathan Airey to make it 1-0. Laylin’s fifth of the playoffs was assisted by Cousins and Amran Bhabra at 1:19.

CRA: On a Buck power-play, Tyson Dyck got the puck at the left circle and wristed a shot off the glove of Aaron Trotter and into the net to even the game at one. Dyck’s third of the series was assisted by Noah Quinn and Rhys Bentham at 15:41.

CRA: A few minutes later on another Bucks power-play, Kellan Hjartarson got a feed at the right circle and roofed a shot by Trotter to give the Bucks a 2-1 lead. Hjartarson’s first in the post-season was assisted by Bauer Morrissey at 18:59.

3rd PERIOD:

 PG: In the final minutes on a Spruce Kings power-play, a Josh Wright point shot was stopped by Airey, and Nick Rhéaume shovelled home the rebound in front of the goal to tie the game at two. Rhéaume’s second in the series was assisted by Wright at 15:59.

PG: Just under three minutes later, Simon Labelle was able to whack one home by Nathan Airey in tight to give the Spruce Kings a late 3-2 lead. Labelle’s third of the post-season was assisted by Nick Rheaume and Rowan Miller at 18:40.
