Spruce Kings forward Brett Pfoh has committed to play NCAA Division 1 Hockey at Bowling Green State University.

Pfoh, 2002, a Port Moody product, is looking forward to the opportunity that lies in his future, “Honestly when the opportunity came around to play for Maco again (Pfoh’s midget hockey coach), I couldn’t refuse. When I went there and saw the dynamic of the boys, as well as how positive minded coach Eigner and coach Carr were, everything seemed to fit”.

Pfoh enters his first season with the Spruce Kings with 3 points in his first 11 games. Pfoh knows the transition to college after junior will be different and believes the Spruce Kings will help him get to the next level, “It’s a huge jump from midget to junior and another huge jump to college” Pfoh said. “But I believe with the way we work here in Prince George, I will be much more prepared to make the transition”.

Pfoh and the Spruce Kings get set for a big weekend beginning Friday against the Nanaimo Clippers and Saturday against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.

You can get tickets at the office, which is open from 10-4 from Monday’s until Saturday’s. You can also get tickets online right here on the Spruce Kings website.
