Makow, Fairlie up for BCHL All-Star Fan Vote

The BCHL has launched a fan vote to fill out the remaining roster spots for the Jan. 21 outdoor 3-on-3 All-Star Tournament in Penticton, as part of the league’s 60th Anniversary event.

Two members of the Prince George Spruce Kings have been nominated for the fan vote.

Forward Linden Makow is one of 13 skaters from the Interior Division up to be voted as a BCHL All-Star.

Makow has played in all 20 of the Spruce Kings games this season. Through the first few months of the season, the Northern B.C. product has scored eight goals and seven assists for 15 points. He’s also scored four powerplay goals, leading the Spruce Kings.

Also up to be voted in is goaltender Jordan Fairlie.

The Fort St. John product is one of four goalies up to be voted into two open spots for the Interior Division.

Fairlie has played in 15 games this season and is currently posting a record of 11-3. His 11 wins rank third in the league. He is also posting a goals-against average (GAA) of 2.41 and a save percentage (SV%) of .912. His two shutouts are tied for the second most in the league.

Last week, the initial 18 skaters were announced, but there are still four goalies and six more skaters needed to complete the rosters.

In total, 12 skaters and two goalies from each conference will be invited to the event, with each conference split into two teams.

Fans can vote from now until Friday, Nov. 25 at 4 p.m. PT, by visiting www.bchl.ca/fanvote.

The results of the fan vote will be unveiled on Tuesday, Nov. 29.
