Interior Conference Semi-Final Game #3 – (4) Prince George Spruce Kings vs. (1) Penticton Vees

Tonight, at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena, the Prince George Spruce Kings return home against the Penticton Vees in Game #3 of the best-of-seven series. The Spruce Kings are coming off a 6-2 setback in Game 2 on Saturday night in Penticton. Rowan Miller and Luc Laylin had the two Spruce King goals, while Laylin’s came on the power-play.

THE TOP LINE CONTINUES TO DELIVER

 It’s no secret the line of Josh Nadeau, Bradly Nadeau, and Adam Eisele have had an incredible start to the playoffs and in this second round series. In the two games played thus far in round two, the Vees have scored eight times, at least one player from the top line for the Vees have been in on six of those eight goals. Bradly Nadeau, a 16-year-old from St. Francois-de-Madawaska, NB sits sixth in league playoff scoring with 10 points in seven games.

STAY OUT OF THE LANE

Kaeden Lane has continued to deliver in this year’s post-season. In his last six starts, Lane has allowed just seven goals. In 418 minutes played in the playoffs, the 20-year-old from Burnaby, BC sports a league leading 1.58 Goals Against Average.

HOME COOKIN’

 The Spruce Kings return home for the first time since Game 5 against Cranbrook. Prince George has won all their games thus far at the RMCA in the 2022 post-season. Then combo of Luc Laylin and captain Kolton Cousins have been dynamite in the RMCA in the playoffs, each posting 4 points in three games at the Mix.

APPLE TREE

 Although he hasn’t found the back of the net yet in the playoffs, forward John Herrington has been terrific in the playoffs. The Lake Superior State commit has posted five helpers in eight playoff games thus far. One of those five helpers came back in Game two on the power-play marker scored by Luc Laylin. In the 2021-22 regular season, Herrington finished with 54 points in 54 games, which included nine power-play goals.
