GAME PREVIEW: Prince George Spruce Kings at. Vernon Vipers (Game #48)

Tonight, at Kal Tire Place, the Prince George Spruce Kings kick off the final road trip of the regular season, as they take on the Vernon Vipers at 7:00 PM. The Spruce Kings are coming off a 3-2 shootout loss this past Saturday night against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks. Simon Labelle and Rowan Miller had the two Spruce King goals, while Jordan Fairlie was terrific, making 25 saves.

 The point streak continued for Spruce Kings 20-year-old, and assistant captain Rowan Miller back on Saturday night. The University of Alaska Anchorage commit enters tonight’s contest against Vernon with points in four straight games, as well as points in six of seven games. Miller’s 2021-22 season totals now sits at 21 goals and 19 helpers. Miller also leads the Spruce Kings in power-play goals with nine.

IN THE PIPES

 The Vipers continue to get incredible goaltending from Roan Clarke. The 18-year-old from Cloverdale has logged the third most minutes in the BCHL in between the pipes and has also posted victories in his last three starts against the Spruce Kings. In 2021-22, Clarke has recorded a 15-13-5-3 record along with 2.72 goals against average.

VIPERS NOTES:

Matthew Culling leads the Vipers in goals against the Spruce Kings this year with four.
