First Round Playoff Schedule

Spruce Kings first round playoff starts in the Coliseum on March 4th

PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) have confirmed their first round playoff schedule with the Coquitlam Express. The Spruce Kings will start at home as the higher seeded team in the best of seven Mainland Division semi-final round. Prince George is the second seed in the Mainland Division and Coquitlam the third.

The first round of the playoffs will take on a 2-2-1-1-1 configuration beginning in Prince George on Tuesday March 4th; game 2 will be played the following night, Wednesday March 5th. Both games will be 7pm starts in the Prince George Coliseum. After a travel day, the series will resume in Coquitlam with game 3 Friday March 7th and game 4 Saturday March 8th.

If necessary, the next three games will be played on consecutive nights with game 5 in Prince George March 10th, game 6 in Coquitlam March 11th and game 7 in Prince George March 12th. The winner of this series will advance to the Mainland Division Championship series to be played against the winner coming out of the other semi-final between the Langley Rivermen (1) and Surrey Eagles (4).

Playoff tickets for the first two games of the first round are now on sale at the Spruce Kings office. Adult playoff tickets are $15, Senior and Student playoff tickets are $12. Current season ticket holders who renew their seats for the 2014/15 season before February 28th will receive a free playoff ticket for both games one and two. Those fans looking to take advantage of this offer can do so with the purchase of a new season ticket for the upcoming season.

The Spruce Kings wrap up their regular season with a double header against the Langley Rivermen on Thursday and Friday, February 27th and 28th in the Coliseum with puck drop scheduled for 7pm both nights. Friday night’s game is sponsored by Save On Foods and will include a “Shoot-to-Win” contest in the second intermission along with other great prizes and fun for everyone.
