Drew Lennon Spotlight

Drew Lennon

Position: Defenceman

DOB: January 12th, 1998

Hometown: Bloomington, IL

Shoots: Left

Drew Lennon is one of three defencemen eligible to return next season for the Prince George Spruce Kings along with fellow 1998 Sam De Melo, and 1999 Liam Watson-Brawn. He was the highest scoring of the three with four goals and 15 assists in 44 games.

Lennon joined the Spruce Kings last offseason after playing with the Connecticut Oilers of the EHL. He signed with Prince George on May 19th 2016.

Being moved to the power play after the Christmas break this year proved vital for the rookie blueliner. With eight points in his first 22 games, Lennon dealt with a injury that kept him out for over a month in October and November. After Christmas he came back firing with seven points in seven games. He was a quarter back specialist during the year, with 10 of his 19 points coming on the man-advantage.

His best offensive output came on Janaury 6th against the Powell River Kings where he had three assists. Two of those were on the power play.
