Cozzi, Kozlowski power Spruce Kings past Chilliwack

Sam Kozlowski is having no trouble fitting in with his new team.

The 20-year-old forward who was acquired from the Coquitlam Express scored his second goal in as many games for the Prince George Spruce Kings on Saturday as they skated to a 2-1 victory on Saturday over the Chilliwack Chiefs.

Prince George jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the third period and never looked back as Kozlowski and Patrick Cozzi lit the lamp against Chiefs netminder Mathieu Caron.

The Spruce Kings carried much of the play for the second consecutive night out shooting the Chiefs 37-23.

Kevin Wall responded for Chilliwack in defeat.

Newly-acquired goaltender Logan Neaton is also having an impact with the Spruce Kings posting a pair of wins with a 1.00 GAA and .949 Save Percentage.

Prince George continues its four-game homestand with  a pair dates next Friday and Saturday against the Coquitlam Express at 7 PM from the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.
