Chiefs use three-goal second period to dump Spruce Kings in Game 4

The Chilliwack Chiefs exploded for three goals in the second period to slip past the Prince George Spruce Kings 3-2 on Tuesday to even up their best-of-seven series at two games apiece.

Ryan Bowen, Jake Gresh and Bryan Allbee beat Evan DeBrouwer three times on 18 shots in the second period.

Prince George potted a shorthanded goal by Ethan de Jong making it a 3-1 Chilliwack advantage after 40 minutes.

The Spruce Kings then cut the lead down to a single goal after Nolan Welsh lit the lamp with less than five minutes to go in the third but were unable to get the equalizer past Chiefs goaltender Daniel Chenard.

Chilliwack outshot the Spruce Kings <strong>32-17.</strong>

The Spruce Kings return home to host game 5 on Thursday at 7 PM from the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.

Game six will played on Saturday in Chilliwack.

Tickets are available at the Spruce Kings office from 9 AM to 5 PM starting on Wednesday.
