Chiefs pounce on Spruce Kings, force Game 7

It was a missed opportunity for the Prince George Spruce Kings on Saturday.

The Mainland Division Champions squandered an opportunity to advance to second round after falling 6-1 to the Chilliwack Chiefs.

The Chiefs were led by 18-year-old forward Ryan Miotto who potted a pair of goals after being scratched in game 5.

Kaden Pickiering, Ryan Bowen, Bryan Allbee and PJ Marrocco also scored for the hosts.

Evan DeBrouwer made 25 saves on 29 shots in goal for the Spruce Kings.

Dustin Manz replied for Prince George in defeat.

Chilliwack outshot the Spruce Kings <strong>31-17</strong>.

The best-of-seven series is tied at <strong>3-3</strong> with game seven slated for Sunday at <strong>7 PM</strong> from the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.

The winner of this hard-fought series will most likely play the Surrey Eagles after the beat Langley on Friday.
