“This is such an honour to receive this award,” Cameron said in his ceremony speech. “Recognizing the achievements and contributions of indigenous individuals is so valuable and moving forward as a culture and I am happy that I can be a part of that movement. I’m very grateful that I spark further efforts and opportunities, and I want to thank all my coaches and managers who gave their time and knowledge to allow me to partake in these activities.  Hopefully one day I can provide the same opportunities for others.”

The Spruce Kings assistant captain is the two-time team leader in plus minus and also sports a 4.0 GPA. Cameron will also receive $500 and will get his name put in the British Columbia Hall of Fame.

The Spruce Kings organization again would like to congratulate Colton on winning this prestigious award for his efforts on and off the ice.

You can catch the full ceremony done by I-Sparc below. Cameron’s section comes on at 21:00.
